Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army to support the welfare and educational advancement of Army personnel and their families, including serving members, retirees, gallantry awardees, personnel with disabilities, and families of those who died in service.

The agreement was signed by the Colonel, Ceremonial & Welfare, Indian Army, and Yash Pal, Chief Academic & Business Head (Delhi-NCR), AESL.

Under the MoU, AESL will provide a range of educational benefits to students from Army families enrolling in its courses across its centres nationwide. The initiative includes scholarships, mentoring, and counselling support aimed at strengthening academic and career outcomes.

As part of the provisions, wards of personnel who died while in service will receive a 100 per cent waiver on all fees except the registration fee. Children of personnel with more than 20 per cent disability and gallantry awardees will be eligible for a 100 per cent tuition fee waiver, while wards of serving and retired personnel will receive a 20 per cent tuition fee concession, applicable after other scholarships are considered.

These benefits will be offered in addition to AESL’s existing scholarship programmes available to all students.

He added that the programme aims to equip students with the necessary guidance and opportunities to achieve their full potential.

During the tenure of the MoU, AESL will also provide comprehensive mentoring and counselling support to Army wards, addressing academic and career-related concerns through both virtual and physical platforms.

In a similar initiative, AESL had recently signed an MoU with the Central Reserve Police Force Family Welfare Association (CWA) to extend academic support and scholarships to the families of CRPF personnel across the country.

AESL is one of India’s leading test preparatory institutions, offering coaching for competitive examinations such as NEET, JEE, NTSE, and Olympiads.
