The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Wokha Unit annual general meeting was held on October 27 at 1:00 PM at the Conference Hall of Lotha Hoho ki Wokha Town. The meeting was chaired by T Renbemo Kikon President ANTA Wokha Unit. Initiating the meeting, the President welcomed all members present and tabled various agendas for discussion and approval. The meet began with a prayer by E Chibemo Yanthan (Auditor) ANTA Wokha Unit.

The Annual Report (2023 – 2024) was delivered by Lipenthung Ovung Gen. Secy. & R Mhao Ezung Fin. Secy.

The issues discussed during the meeting are as follows:

-Taxi fares: All taxi fares will be as per Regional Transport Authority (RTA) board Wokha approved rate.

-Aid: Financial aid for members will be as per Article 23 of ANTA constitution.

– Membership: All Wokha based taxi’s should get affiliate and obtain membership from the unit. No taxis will be allowed to ply without registration.

-Taxation issues: Reaffirmed its earlier resolution to one ‘government, one tax’

– Introduction of Local Taxi: The house approved for introduction of local taxi’s in Wokha Town as per RTA board Wokha approval.

-Raising day cum annual picnic committee 2024:

The house set up a committee for smooth conduct of the joint celebration. Overall Incharge was given to Nchumbemo Ezung Advisor.

-Taxi Documents:

All members should keep an updated documents for best service to the commuters and safety.

During the meeting, the President appealed all drivers and owners to provide their best service to the commuters by sticking to it’s motto “service to the public”. With the festive seasons approaching, he also directed the disciplinary action committee to be vigil on those member violating the regional transport authority (RTA) board approved taxi fares.

The meeting concluded with thanks from the chair. Right after the meeting an exhibition futsal match between officials and members were played at Anfield Vungoju.
