The program was organised in collaboration with Tening Town Council and held at Town Council Hall on March 14 with Scientist Yanathung Kithan, NPCB as the resource person.
While addressing the gathering, Scientist Yanathung Kithan stressed the importance of proper segregation and disposal of dry and wet waste for healthy environment to pave way for concepts of waste management.
He encouraged the gathering to reduce the use of single use products at maximum especially plastic substances and always try to recycle or reuse things other than disposing of, so as to help reduce waste from landfill which will eventually prevent land, water and air pollution. Yanathung urged the gathering to maintain a useful waste bin to deposit waste so that it can be converted into rich organic compost.
