The Box Cutting Road in Kohima will be closed for vehicular traffic on 10th and 11th August 2024 (Saturday and Sunday), Deputy Commissioner Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, has notified.

The DC informed that the restriction is being imposed in view of the road repair and maintenance work at the Box Cutting Road Kohima which is scheduled from 10th to 14th August 2024. Vehicular traffic restrictions shall be imposed during the repair and maintenance work, he said.

It has also been notified that there will be partial road opening for downward vehicular traffic from 12th to 14th August 2024.

The alternative route via Ladies Mile Road & NHAK-TCP Gate is being suggested for vehicular traffic during the road closure period.

Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner and a team of officers decided to lay a cement concrete road at the Box Cutting Road.
