The Central Bureau of Communication Field Office Kohima in collaboration with Kendriya Vidyalaya Kohima celebrated 9th International Yoga Day at the KV School Kohima. Speaking on the occasion as the Chief Guest, Manish Kumar Sachar, DIG CRPF, Kohima said Yoga is a way of life. He said any physical exercise that makes you sweat and tired can be termed as Yoga.
The DIG called upon the students to include sports and physical activities in their daily life. Yoga, sports and physical activities help build stamina and energy and also enable you to sleep well, he added.
During the program, Yoga Asanas demonstration was done by Abhishek TGT, (P& He) Teacher, K V Kohima.
A quiz completion on Yoga was also organised to mark the celebration where Rahul Kumar of class 9 won the First Prize, Samarth Rathore Class 9 bagged second and Kesho Kent of class 10 won the third prize.
In Mokokchung, Central Bureau of Communication FO Tuensang organised Yoga Day at Rajeswari Karuna School, Tuli with Among Aier, Teacher, Yajang High School as the resource persons.
Lakshyajit Das, Yoga Teacher was the resource person for the yoga demonstration. Quiz competition and yoga demonstration were also conducted to mark the day.
