A two-member central team on Jal Shakti Abhiyan: “Catch The Rain” visited Dimapur district from 3rd to 5th August 2022

A two-member central team on Jal Shakti Abhiyan: “Catch The Rain” visited Dimapur district from 3rd to 5th August 2022. The team comprises of Central Nodal Officer Jal Shakti Abhiyan (JSA: CTR) & Deputy Secretary to the Govt of India New Delhi, Sukh Lal Meena and Technical Officer JSA: CTR & Scientist-D (Hydrogeology) CGWB NER Guwahati. During their visit, the team inspected various projects and activities undertaken by various departments under Jal Shakti Abiyan “Catch The Rain” in Dimapur district.

Jal Shakti Abiyan “Catch The Rain” (JSA: CTR) is a nationwide campaign focusing on saving and conserving rainwater with the theme “Catch The Rain where it falls, when it falls” from 29 March to 30 November 2022 covering both urban and rural areas of all the district in the country. It is also learnt JE Water Resources & IC Jal Shakti Kendra Dimapur district Nagaland, Er. The debriefing of the schemes and activities with the District Level Committee on Jal Shakti Abiyan “Catch The Rain” consist of Water Resources Department and 13 other Allied Departments by the visiting team was held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, on 5th August 2022, where views and suggestions were exchanged to make the nationwide campaign on rainwater a success. The debriefing session was chaired Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Sachin Jaiswal, who is also the Chairman of the District Level Committee on JSA and also the District Nodal Officer.
