The Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) has strongly condemned the recent IED blast in Chümoukedima district that claimed the life of an Assam Rifles jawan and left four other security personnel seriously injured.
Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, the apex business body conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the speedy and complete recovery of the injured personnel.
In a statement issued through its Media Affairs cell, the CNCCI described the attack as a reprehensible act of violence and a direct assault on the peace, stability and sense of security that the people of Nagaland have painstakingly nurtured over the years.
The CNCCI stated that after enduring decades of conflict and hardship, the people of Nagaland have collectively embraced the path of peace, dialogue and development, and asserted that no individual or group should be allowed to derail this hard-earned peace through senseless acts of violence.
Highlighting the economic implications of instability, the CNCCI said lasting peace is indispensable for economic growth, employment generation, investment, tourism and the overall development of the state.

The business body urged law enforcement and investigating agencies to leave no stone unturned in identifying, apprehending and bringing those responsible for the blast to justice. It also welcomed the intensified investigation already underway and expressed confidence that the authorities would ensure the perpetrators are held accountable in accordance with the law.
The CNCCI further asserted that the people of Nagaland would not allow the state’s hard-earned peace to be hijacked by acts of violence. It appealed to citizens to remain united, cooperate with the authorities and collectively uphold peace, harmony and the rule of law.
