To celebrate the forth coming 78th Independence Day in Mokokchung, a consultative and work distribution meeting was convened at DC’s conference Hall, Mokokchung on August 5, informed DIPR.
The house di’cussed on the work distribution to various departments for the celebration. Commemorating the celebration, various institutional establishments will be visit District Hospital, District Jail and Orphanage. The daylong celebration will be marked by delivery of Independence Day speech by the Chief Guest, march pass by parade contingents, cultural activities, exhibition stalls by various departments, exhibition of tug of war match between Mokokchung Municipal Council, Councilors versus Government. Officers followed by exhibition football match between Mokokchung Football League 35+ and DPDB XI.
Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung informed all the heads of offices to mandatorily attend the official banquet. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji; Superintendent of Police Mokokchung, Vesupra Kezo and heads of offices of the district. Medziphema
In view of the upcoming Independence Day, a coordination meeting with the heads of offices and institutions under Medziphema sub-division was held at ADC’s office, Medziphema today.
Chairing the meeting, ADC Medziphema, P. James Swu expressed his gratitude to all the departments for their co-operation during the recently conducted ULB elections. The meeting deliberated on work distribution and activities for the Independence Day celebration. Various departments decided to set up stalls during the celebration. The ADC sought support and cooperation from all the departments for the successful celebration of Independence Day programme. He also appealed to all the members to attend the programme and actively take part and also asked them to deliver their assigned work sincerely.
The house also decided to conduct a mass social work on August 13 from 7:00 AM onwards.
