The launching programme of saturation and awareness camp under Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Yojana (DAJGUA) was held on June 16 at Ungma Council Assembly Hall, Mokokchung with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mokokchung Ajit Kumar Verma as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Mokokchung said that the awareness campaign is an initiative by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, focussing on holistic development in tribal region, with the campaign period from June 15 to 30. He said that during the campaign service of various departments will be showcased and the public will be able to directly access and avail all the welfare schemes and benefits that are been provided by the concerned departments. The DC stressed on the need to disseminate about the campaign to the villagers so that not a single person is left out, and urged upon the village council, stakeholders for support and cooperation for the success of the DAJGUA campaign in the district.
The launching programme was attended by five villages namely Ungma, Longkhum, Mangmetong, Kupza and Longsa.

Short speeches were delivered on Ayushman Bharat Card by Takotemjen Longkumer, LDA, Chief Medical Officer’s Office, Mokokchung, Soil Health Card by Ruokuosietuo, District Soil Conservation Officer Mokokchung, and Financial Inclusion by L. Simon Peter, Lead District Manager, Mokokchung.
The programme was chaired by Ajay Moktan and invocation was pronounced by T. Chuba Jamir Associate Pastor Ungma Baptist Church. While welcome address and vote of thanks were delivered by EAC Ongpangkong, Sangpangchang Longkumer and BDO Ongpangkong North, Kazupokba respectively.
