Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mon Wennyei Konyak has ordered that no individual shall wear camouflage or military-style clothing while going to fields, jungle areas, or any public spaces within Mon district.

In an official circular, the DC stated that this is in the interest of public safety and to avoid any untoward incidents or mistaken identity, creating potential confusion and posing serious security concerns.

The official further directed all the village councils under Mon district to strictly disseminate this information within their respective villages and ensure compliance with immediate effect.
