The Department of Land Resources and department of Soil and Water Conservation jointly celebrated the World Environment Day (WED) at Natsami Village PMKSY WDC 2.0, under the theme “Land Restoration, Desertfication and Drought resilient” which was attended by the village elders women folks and citizens.

Addressing the gathering, Zulumeren, SDO Soil emphasised on the importance of soil health card and disclosed that the department is on the job in collecting soil sample from project villages. He also shared awareness on the importance of soil health card and its benefit.

While addressing the gathering, Lipichem, DPO Department of Land Resources touched on the theme of the day and appealed the gathering to take good care of their land as it gives life to all. “If we don’t take care of it we will all perish,” said the DPO and appealed the gathering to be the guardians of their land.

During the celebration, Coffee plantation and organic manure were distributed.
