In a major breakthrough against organised narcotics trafficking, Dimapur Police has arrested one of the alleged major cocaine suppliers operating in Dimapur, Nagaland, exposing an organised interstate drug trafficking syndicate with links extending across three States and involving a Nigerian national.
The investigation has revealed that the syndicate allegedly procured and distributed cocaine through commercial courier and parcel delivery channels, including through DTDC Courier Services, using a structured network of suppliers, handlers and delivery agents.
The case has been registered at West Police Station, Dimapur, under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. During the investigation, police seized approximately 33 grams of suspected cocaine, which has been sent for forensic examination.
As part of the coordinated operation, five accused persons have been arrested, namely Tohuka Sema alias Toka (35 yrs)S/o. Lt. Z. VikhesheAssumi, major cocaine supplier based in Dimapur; Yeka Awomi (30 yrs) s/o. Ahokhe Awomi, apprehended from Pune, Maharashtra; Biresh Kumar(22 yrs) s/o. Lt. Dhirender Singh , apprehended from Delhi; Akhtar Hussain (35 yrs) s/o. Ismail Ansari, apprehended from Delhi; and
Swantheiba Inkah(25yrs), s/o. Baga, a delivery agent allegedly involved in facilitating the movement and delivery.
Two other accused persons, presently based outside Nagaland, are absconding, and sustained efforts are underway to secure their arrest.

According to PRO Dimapur Police, preliminary investigation indicated that the syndicate operated in an organised manner, with clearly defined roles for procurement, payment layering, interstate transportation, courier-based delivery and distribution of cocaine through commercial logistics channels. The investigation has also uncovered interstate and international linkages, including the alleged involvement of a Nigerian national. Further investigation is in progress to identify additional associates, financial transactions, customers and the full extent of the organised network.
Reaffirming its commitment to combating organised narcotics crime, Dimapur Police said it would continue pursuing all individuals connected with the illicit drug trade and ensure they are prosecuted under the provisions of the NDPS Act.
Police also appealed to the public to share any credible information relating to narcotics trafficking, assuring that the identity of informants would be kept strictly confidential.
