Dr Chumben Murry is the consensus candidate of the NDPP-BJP alliance, People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA), for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party announced today in a press statement.

Dr Chumben Murry is a former Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly. In 2023, the former Advisor for Law and Justice surprised many when he did not to contest in the State elections. He is presently the Advisor to the Chief Minister.

The decision was made by the NDPP Parliamentary Board meeting held today at the NDPP Headquarters in Kohima, the statement said.

“The Board unanimously resolved to award the Party ticket to Dr Chumben Murry for the elections to the lone Parliamentary seat of Nagaland,” it stated, while also appealing for continued support of the people and political parties.
