The grand finale of the Kohima District Cricket Association (KDCA) 2nd Inter-Club T20 Tournament 2024 saw Elite Cricket Club (ECC) crowned champions after a commanding 49-run victory over Kohima Hornbills.

Winning the toss, Elite Cricket Club elected to bat first and posted a competitive 147/4 in 20 overs. Key contributions came from Imomenba (41 off 37 balls), Zidu (33 off 25 balls), and Viketho (29 off 27 balls). The Kohima Hornbills’ bowlers, Anga Vizale (1/31 in 4 overs) and Vithoshe Yeptho (1/28 in 4 overs), worked hard to restrict the scoring but couldn’t prevent ECC from setting a challenging target.

In response, Kohima Hornbills struggled under pressure and were bowled out for 98 runs in 18.2 overs. Despite a resilient 27 not out by Vithoshe and 18 runs from Kepesielie, the Hornbills couldn’t build partnerships to chase down the target. Elite CC’s bowlers dominated the innings, with Sepichem claiming 3 wickets in 4 overs and Kelhousielie taking 2 wickets in 4 overs.

Result: Elite Cricket Club won by 49 runs and lifted the KDCA 2nd Inter-Club T20 Tournament 2024 Championship Trophy.
