He further noted that the Buddha’s teachings of the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path continue to offer a blueprint for a harmonious and inclusive world.

The Governor further said that “From the lantern-lit temples of Japan to the bustling streets of Bodh Gaya, Buddha Purnima unites millions in a shared aspiration for inner peace. Let us carry forward Buddha’s light—not just today, but every day. May we strive to be “no-thing,” as he exemplified, dissolving barriers of ego to embrace the oneness of all life. As the full moon shines tonight, may it illuminate our hearts with wisdom, compassion, and the courage to walk the path of righteousness.”
