Commemorating the 75th year of glorious Indian Independence, Prabhat Pheris (morning procession/ walk) as part of “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign under the aegis of Azad Ka Amrit Mahotsav, was conducted at Dimapur district on 9th August 2022.

The morning walk started simultaneously from two locations- one led by Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Sachin Jaiswal, IAS which started from ADC court junction. The other group led by ADC Dimapur, Mhalo Humstoe started from the CP office junction, and the procession culminated at City tower Dimapur.

In his brief address from City Tower Dimapur, DC Dimapur expressed gratitude to all the participants and observed that the big turnout itself speaks about the love and respect one has for the nation. He thanked each one for taking their time to be part of the walk and was optimistic that the spirit of nationalism would reach greater heights.

Thousands of participants including government officials, CSOs, students in uniform from different schools and colleges, and the general public participated in the morning walk, carrying the National Flag.
