As per a notice posted on the home ministry’s website, approximately 880 users have already registered, and 121 tickets, pertaining to issues and queries, have been successfully resolved through the online helpdesk as of Monday evening.
The helpdesk aims to provide assistance in resolving complaints faced by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and associations in relation to FCRA-related issues.
With the government’s stringent monitoring of FCRA-registered NGOs that receive foreign funds, compliance has become crucial. It is mandatory for all NGOs receiving foreign funds to register under the FCRA.

According to data from the Home Ministry, these NGOs have collectively received a staggering Rs 55,449 crore in foreign funding over the past three years.
Currently, there are 16,301 NGOs in the country holding valid FCRA licenses as of July 17. However, over the past five years, the licenses of more than 6,600 NGOs have been revoked due to violations of the FCRA.
To date, a total of 20,693 NGOs has faced cancellations of their FCRA licenses.
