Inter Personnel Campaign (IPC) on routes of HIV Transmission held in Tuensang

A one day Inter Personnel Campaign (IPC) on routes of HIV Transmission and HIV/AIDS prevention was held on Saturday at the Government Higher Secondary School, Tuensang. The campaign was organised by the Chang Students Union, Tuensang Town in collaboration with the District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU)Tuensang and sponsored by Nagaland State AIDS Control Society.

Under the theme “Roots of Transmission”, the campaign was organised for the free coaching students with Chongshen C.Chang, District Program Officer of DAPCU, Tuensang as the resource person.

Chang highlighted the status of HIV prevalence in the District and focused on the four routes of transmission i.e Unprotected sexual contact, sharing of needles and syringes, mother-to-child transmission, and blood transfusion. Chang encouraged the students to have continuous awareness and prevention of such activities/diseases.

Earlier the program was chaired by Kaimanglemba Chang, President of CSUTT.
