The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) has affirmed its resolution to observe December 4 and 5 as Black day in remembrance of the 14 youth killed in the Oting Massacre.
“In remembrance of those 14 Konyak youths massacred on on December 4, 2021 at Oting by the 21 Para Special Force of the Indian Army under mistaken identity during the Oting atrocities and on account of undelivered/denied justice to the bereaved families till date, the ENPO reiterate its earlier resolution to observe 4th & 5th December as “Black Day”,” stated the ENPO in a circular issued today.

It has also endorsed the Eastern Naga Student’s Federation (ENSF) to coordinate in observing the grievous day by hoisting black flags as a sign of mourning and a candle light service in remembrance of the youths who were mercilessly massacred under the shadow of the draconian law “AFSPA”.
