I.Lanusungkum Aier, the Sr. Technical Director and State Informatics Officer at NIC Nagaland, presented an insightful overview of the e-Challan system. He elucidated that e-Challan is a dynamic Android-based mobile app and web interface meticulously crafted to provide comprehensive support to transport enforcement officers and traffic policemen. The application is seamlessly synchronized with the Vahan and Sarathi applications, seamlessly integrating numerous user-friendly attributes. It encompasses the primary functionalities of the traffic enforcement system, and Aier emphasized that it serves as an end-to-end automated system with a digital interface catering to every stakeholder within the challan ecosystem. The software offers tailored interfaces for enforcement officers, citizens (both private and commercial vehicle owners/drivers), state transport offices, regional transport/traffic offices, NIC administration, and the Ministry of Road and Transport. Aier accentuated that this unified system ensures unwavering data integrity, reliability, and transparency across all stakeholders.
The event was officiated by Lovikali Yepthomi, the Deputy Transport Commissioner, who presided over the ceremony.
