The Mount Tiyi College Wokha, established in 1974 is gearing up to celebrate its Golden Jubilee this year, tentatively after the academic session. To kick off the Jubilee celebrations, a coffee plantation event was organised on Friday, July 26 in the presence of the Principal, teaching faculty, ministerial staff and the students. The first coffee plant was planted by the outgoing Vice-Principal, Sentimenla Jamir.

While promoting environmental sustainability, the initiative also aims to equip the students with added skills by teaching the students first hand about the scope of coffee plantation as a profitable source of income, informed a press release by the MTC Golden Jubilee Media and Publicity Committee.
