Naga Students’ Union, Delhi condemned the violence prevailing in Manipur. While expressing its distress over the ‘complete failure of the Manipur government to maintain peace and order in the state’, the students’ body called for intervention from Central government the same in the northeastern State.
NSUD also appealed that the government address the underlying issues that had led to the clashes, loss of lives and arson to achieve lasting peace and stability in Manipur.
‘We ask for an immediate end to the violence, the deployment of law enforcement to protect civilians and their property, and the provision of humanitarian assistance to those affected,’ The Naga students urged.
‘NSUD urgently call on all parties involved to exercise restraint, refrain from violence, and engage in peaceful dialogue,’ it further appealed.
