Shamator Battalion of Assam Rifles (AR), under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North)/7 Sector AR commemorated the 74th Republic Day with the underprivileged families of Nokhu village.

A press release from AR informed that the flag hoisting was followed by a feast for the locals, which was attended by 30 cadets of 1 Naga Girls NCC to spread the message of women empowerment along with the ex-servicemen of Noklak.

Teams from the Company Operated Base of Noklak, Dan, Langnok and Choklangan village have been making relentless efforts to assist and provide basic necessities to poverty-stricken villagers in their areas of responsibility, it further informed.
