The NCC cadets attending the 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-29) at Greenwood Higher Secondary School, Dimapur received insights into ‘Cyber Security’ during an Informative and Awareness lecture during the 5th day on 15th December 2023.
PRO, Ministry of Defence informed in a press release that the lecture was delivered by Vizhatuo Michael Yhome, ASP, PHQ, Nagaland Police who highlighted the Modus Operandi of the cyber frauds and crimes, do’s and don’ts for the internet and mobile users, method of prevention and reporting of a cyber crime etc. He also cautioned the cadets not to succumb to malicious offers via internet.
The CATC-29 is being attended by over 550 Senior Division and Junior Division cadets of 1 Nagaland Girls Batallion, Kohima. during the camp, the cadets will undergo training in service subjects and also participate in sports and cultural events.
Brigadier Dipankar Saha, Group Commander, NCC Kohima Group also visited the CATC-29 and interacted with the cadets and instructors. Brig Saha visited the training infrastructure like the Firing Simulator, Adhoc Shooting Range, NCC Guard Room and the Information Gallery. While addressing the attendees of the camp, he appreciated the efforts of all concerned and motivated the cadets to make most of the opportunity and to become better citizen and future leaders, PRO and Spokesperson, MoD stated.
