The 53rd Kitsubozou Panchayat Day was celebrated today at their Panchayat Hall. The commemoration also marked the induction of the new Executives Members.
In his exhortation, GB Medochülie Khezhie, Kitsubozou colony expressed joy to witness such unity and cooperation within the village panchayat. “When a community comes together and works towards the betterment of all its members, it creates an environment where everyone can excel and live in peace,” said Khezhie. He also reminded that every executive part of the Panchayat and their sub-ordinating bodies have played a significant role in achieving this success, serving as an important pillar in the government system.
While commending the executive’s dedication in representing and working for the society’s interests, Khezhie reminded that it is indeed crucial for individuals to give their best when called upon to represent the society as their efforts can make a positive impact on the community’s growth and development. He wished the new team to do their best and uphold their dedication and commitment for their ward’s better future.

The new Executive Team for the tenure 2023-2026 was inducted during the program. The new team members are: Dzieseneilie Sachü (Chairman), Visakholie Zatsu (Vice Chairman), Atoulie Pienyü (General Secretary), Neingusazo Mechülho (Sanitation Secretary), Ruokuohetuo Mechülho (Property Secretary), Zasevolhou Medeo (Asst.General Secretary), Kuorielie Terhase (Treasurer cum Banker), Aziebu Thevo (Finance Secretary), Popfüyi Kezo (Publicity and Information Secretary) and Kezevituo Linyü (Social and Cultural Secretary).
Kitzubozou Ward has been awarded the cleanest ward (second position in 2020, cleanest in 2021) in Kohima Town for two consecutive years. The ward conducts social work on every last Saturday of the month which has played a major role in keeping the ward clean and brought laurels to the Ward.
