The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department, has issued a weather advisory warning of continued rainfall activity across Nagaland over the coming days, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds.

According to the latest meteorological inputs, most districts are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall, with thunderstorms and lightning very likely at isolated places. Districts such as Peren and Kohima may witness heavy rainfall accompanied by gusty winds (30–40 kmph) at isolated locations.

The advisory highlighted April 29 as the peak period of weather activity, with widespread localized thunderstorms and lightning expected across the state with moderate to heavy rainfall likely at scattered locations. Several districts including Dimapur, Mokokchung, Mon, Niuland, and Tseminyu may experience intense weather conditions, raising the possibility of localized disruptions.
