One Day Creative Workshop on Poetry Writing and Folktale Narration was conducted by the English Department, Yingli College, Longleng on August 17, 2024 at St. Joseph School, Longleng. This program was undertaken as part of the extension service, informed DIPR.
The program was chaired by Nyaksham Phom of BA 5th semester, Introductory Note was given by Tonghon Phom, Assistant Professor. This was followed by a recital by the students of 3rd semester who shared their original works. A Phom folktale was narrated by Chasan, BA 5th semester.

Question and Answer session was held where the students of St. Joseph School asked various questions regarding creative writing and poetry. Dr. Kekhriengulieü Tachü and Ketousieno Catherine, Assistant Professors from the English Department facilitated the session.
A practical session followed where the students brought out their creative side and participated actively.
The program concluded with a speech from Dr. AK Chowdhary, HoD and vote of thanks was proposed by Hentong Phom, BA 1st Semester.
