PGCIL donates Child Helpline Rescue Van to Mokokchung District in CSR initiative

Mokokchung: DC appreciates noble venture, emphasises potential benefits for neighbouring districts also

The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), on Friday, formally handed over a Rescue Van to Child Helpline 1098 in Mokokchung through the Deputy Commissioner, who serves as the Chairman of the District Child Advisory Board. The official handover ceremony for the Child Helpline rescue van took place at the Deputy Commissioner’s chamber.

Earlier, on 11th October 2023, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between PGCIL and the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung to initiate this Corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity.

This significant initiative, carried out under PGCIL’s CSR activities, was acknowledged with gratitude by Thsuvisie Phoji, the Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the District Child Advisory Board (CAB) in Mokokchung. He expressed appreciation for the noble venture, emphasizing its potential benefits not only for Mokokchung district but also for neighbouring districts.

Samuel DCPO, Mokokchung, extended the vote of thanks during the ceremony. The formal handover was executed by Dimbeshwar Pegu, Deputy General Manager of PGCIL, and received by the Deputy Commissioner. Witnesses to the event included T. Zousuanmang, Manager, and Er. Ankit Chauhan from PGCIL, as well as Abeinuo Jasmine Ashao, SDO(C) Mokokchung, and other officials from Child Helpline, Mokokchung.
