The Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) has appealed young voters in Nagaland to register their votes to bring progress and justice.

“Your voice matters. Your actions shape the course of our collective future. Voting isn’t just a right; it’s a powerful tool to influence change. When you cast your ballot, you’re shaping policies on education, climate action, healthcare, and more. Your vote isn’t just a mark on a paper; it’s a statement of your values, your hopes, and your dreams for a better tomorrow,” stated a press release issued by Lima Lemtur, President, NPYC.

With crucial decisions being made every election, the NPYC noted that these decisions affects the youth directly whether it is to do with funding for schools, job opportunities, or environmental protections. “By participating in the electoral process, you’re ensuring that your interests are represented and your concerns are heard,” asserted the NPYC.

It encouraged the youth not to underestimate the power of their vote, as it is a fundamental way to hold leaders accountable and demand the changes that they want to see in their community and beyond.

Your vote can be the catalyst for progress, justice, and equality. So, to all the young people out there: register to vote, educate yourselves on the issues, and show up at the polls. Your voice matters, and together, we can shape a brighter future for generations to come,” appealed the NPYC.
