A Thanksgiving Programme was held for S. Toiho Yeptho, elected MLA from 33 Suruhuto Assembly Constituency in Zunheboto, on Tuesday at Phuye New Village, Suruhuto.
Speaking at the programme, Yeptho expressed his gratitude to all his supporters for being genuine and sincere towards him and said that it was with God’s grace and the people’s support and common efforts that he could win.
Toiho, who contested in the election with ticket from Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) quoted that with great power comes great responsibilities and therefore he urged the public to keep him in prayers and help him towards the wellbeing of the Constituency.
He said election comes in 5 years and that the election held on 27th February is in the past and therefore urged the people to do away with favouritism but come together as Suruhuto people and Asuto people.
He said that no man can ever go against God’s will, and it was with God’s will that he stood before them.

President of NCP, Suruhuto Khehoyi Aye while delivering his speech lauded the GBs and leaders of all villages for their vision and that it was their urge to see the change that they could come with common cause.
He said that people plans but it is God who decides and therefore he called upon everyone to put God first and then work together to mend the loopholes of the Constituency.
Short Speeches was delivered by Shetoyi Yeptho, Ex. Parliamentary Secretary and Shivukhu Aye.
Greetings was delivered by Qheniho, GB Surumi; Kaito Chophy Head GB Yehemi; Vikiqhe GB; Tichipa Khuvuto GB AicheSaghe; Vikheshe Yeptho GB Naltoqa; Akhevi GB Kathara; Kahovi GB Asuto.
Earlier the programme was chaired by Hokuto Jakhalu, invocation was pronounced by Tovi Chophy, Youth Leader, Phuye New BC, special song was presented by Timeless Band, prayer of blessings by Samuel Zhimo, Pastor Phuye New BC, and vote of thanks was proposed by Ihokhe, GB Phuye New. Benediction was said by Vitoho Tuccu, Pastor Phuye Old BC.
