The Seyochung Village Students’ Union (SVSU) on Monday met with officials from the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) at the DETT NITOI 411 RMPL to discuss the upcoming road construction project under Seyochung Village.
“According to updates from the Border Roads Organisation’s Junior Engineers, road construction is expected to commence within a week or two weather permitting. The delay in starting the project was attributed to recent unfavorable weather conditions,” stated the SVSU in a press release.
Addressing the issue of road conditions in the area, Longtili C. Sangtam, Vice President of SVSU, expressed concern stressing that the quality of work should not be compromised under any circumstances. Sangtam also highlighted the importance of a proper drainage system, stating, “The drainage system should be the first priority as it will determine the longevity of the road.”

The Vice President also assured the Border Roads Organisation that the union stands ready to support the project, adding, “We are committed to assisting in any way possible and will ensure that the development work in our jurisdiction progresses smoothly. Any challenges or disturbances faced by the Border Roads Organisation during construction will be addressed with our full support.
The SVSU reiterated Its dedication to the development of the region and pledged cooperation to ensure the successful completion of the road project, which is expected to benefit the entire community
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both the Border Roads Organisation and the SVSU committed to working together to move the project forward.
