A meeting of the District-level Committee for implementation of Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs with various departments in Tuensang was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Tuensang on June 10.

In the introductory note, ADC Tuensang Shelley Katiry emphasized the significance of DAJGUA in promoting inclusive development in tribal dominated villages, outlining that the main objective is to saturate service and infrastructure in tribal areas across the country through targeted intervention. He also said that the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has launched a focused campaign titled “Dharti Aaba Abhiyan – Awareness and Benefit Saturated Camp” from June 15-30 which aims at saturating individual entitlement at the last mile level and to create awareness about DAJGUA.

The official highlighted that the objective of the campaign is to create awareness to the people about the importance of government programmes and schemes where it covers Ayushman Bharat, Aadhaar Camp, KCC, MNREGA, PMAY Housing and various other welfare schemes.
