The 13th NPBCAYD Triennial Convention, themed “Experiencing God Together” (Acts 2: 42-47), hosted by Police Baptist Church, Wokha, concluded today with a series of various events.

The convention saw the participation from 24 Church with 485 delegates from various parts of the state.

Speaking on the topic, “Experiencing God Together in Love”, Zanbemo Kithan, Pastor Yikhum Baptist Church emphasised the importance of obeying God’s commandments to truly experience His love. He reminded everyone that living in God’s presence is crucial and without it, one cannot remain in His love. The two fundamental commandments: to love God with all one’s heart and to love one’s neighbour were also highlighted, where the Speaker warned that allowing evil to influence our actions leads to a breach of these divine laws. “Obedience is our greatest duty,” he stated, taking the example set by Jesus, who, as the Son of God, prioritised obedience during His time on earth.

He further illustrated that Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross was a testament to His enduring love for humanity. “Without love, we risk becoming worse than animals,”. He concluded with a powerful message that the heart of God and His love are inseparable, and our own hearts must reflect that same love in our lives.

In her exhortation message, Aotula T. Imchen, SP Wokha expressed gratitude to the programme committee for including her in the event. She spoke about faith, highlighting the unpredictability of life and likening it to an unshaken bridge amidst chaos.

Imchen noted that we live in a fast-paced world where everyone seeks rapid growth and success; however, she emphasised that success does not come easily. It requires discipline, hard work, and perseverance. While we may face failures today, we must not give up and should continue striving for our goals. Every achievement is possible when we remain focused and committed to our dreams.

She encouraged the youth to be diligent and emphasised the importance of prayer in our lives, stating that prayer is the most powerful weapon we possess. We must live our lives to fulfil the potential that God has for us.

In concluding her exhortation, she referenced the theme “Experiencing God Together,” urging everyone to support one another and to strive to uplift those around us.
