The ongoing 29th T20 Winter Cricket Challenge, organized by the Senior Noble Klan is held under the aegis of the Nagaland Cricket Association. The tournament is being played under the theme “Green Cover Drive” held at the Local Ground Wokha.
Thyüshong Cricket Club Tseminyu and Highlander’s Chümoukedima both won their respective league matches.
In the first match of the day played between Thyüshong vs WDCA , Thyüshong won the toss and opted to bat setting up a huge target of 210/2 in 20 overs. Alok Sharma who was dropped on two occasions went on to score his maiden 110 leading from the front. Followed by Kepesiele Kent not out 40.
Shahil Uddin was the only standout bowler who bowled 4 overs 45 and claimed 1 wicket.

In the second innings WDCA opening batters started off the run chase with high note. After the departure of their opening batsman, the WDCA top order and middle order batsman were bowled like dominos by the bowlers of Thyüshong. The top scorer for WDCA was Liren Jungio and scored 21 runs. The pick for the bowling side was Nunthilo Magh who bowled 4 overs 1 maiden and gave away just 7 runs and claimed 5 wickets. WDCA were bowled out for just 86 runs in 17.2 overs. Thyüshong won the match by 124 runs. Alok Sharma was adjuded as the Man of the Match for his 110 runs.
In the Second Match of the day played between Highlander’s vs Comets CC, Comets CC won the toss and opted to bat setting up a target of 173/4 in 20 overs.
Comets CC started the innings with a good opening pair in the form of Renben Kikon and Tenuram Difusa both scoring 20+ plus runs. After the loss of their openers the Comets CC top orders started the onslaught in the form of Nchumbemo and Faizul contributing 90 runs between the two.
The pick for bowler of the Highlander’s was Hiketo Aye who bowled 4-0-37-1.
In the 2nd innings of the day Highlander’s Opening pair Shamphri and Hiketo Aye started picking the bowlers on the very first overs. Asif Wasim came as the first down batsmen and scored 69 important runs which paved the way for the team to finish off the match in a smooth order. Faizul Haque of Comets CC was the only bowler who claimed 2 wickets in his allotted quota of 4 overs. Highlander won the match by 6 wickets in 18.5 overs. Asif Wasim was adjuded as the Man of the Match for his all round performance.
