Governor of Nagaland, Nand Kishore Yadav, visited Tuophema Village on August 17, where he experienced the rich cultural heritage, traditions and community based tourism initiatives of the village.
The Governor was accorded a warm welcome at Tuophema Village.
As part of the visit, a traditional weaving demonstration was presented by the womenfolk at the Naga Kitchen, providing an opportunity for the Governor to witness the indigenous weaving traditions and craftsmanship of Tuophema village.
During the Tuophema Experience/Tour, the Governor visited and experienced various attractions and community initiatives, including Kharu, Tuophema Amphitheatre, the Ancestral Kense’s Hut, Tuophezhu Hall and the Regional Craft and Resource Centre. The tour showcased the village’s efforts towards preserving its cultural heritage while promoting sustainable tourism, local crafts and livelihood opportunities.
