Governor of Nagaland Nand Kishore Yadav visited the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Kohima, on Thursday and reviewed its infrastructure, technology initiatives and emerging startup ecosystem.
During the visit, the Governor took a walkthrough of the various infrastructure facilities at the Academic Block. He also visited the Cyber Forensic R&D Lab, where he familiarised himself with the facilities and activities being undertaken.
The Governor also launched two emerging startups, Kora and Zodmo Technologies Private Limited, during his visit, highlighting the growing spirit of entrepreneurship, technology and innovation among the youth of Nagaland. The launch underscored the potential of homegrown startups to develop technology driven solutions addressing local needs and creating new opportunities in the digital economy.

Zodmo Technologies, in particular, has developed a locally focused online marketplace that enables users to buy, sell, rent and discover a wide range of goods and services within Nagaland.
The Governor’s interaction with these emerging ventures reflected the importance of encouraging young entrepreneurs and innovators to harness technology for inclusive growth, while fostering a supportive ecosystem for startups and digital enterprises in the State.
The Governor was subsequently briefed on the various activities and initiatives of NIELIT Kohima. The visit provided an opportunity to understand the institute’s role in promoting digital skills, technology, innovation and capacity building in the State.
