The Kohima District Basketball Association (KDBA) has announced the selected players for the upcoming Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2026, scheduled to commence on November 2.
The final roster was decided during a KDBA executive meeting held on September 20 at the residence of KDBA president Khrielasakuo Keretsü.
The selection followed the Open Basketball Selection Trials for men and women conducted on September 19 at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Kohima. The KDBA expressed gratitude to all players who participated in the trials and commended their talent, determination and sportsmanship.
KDBA president Khrielasakuo Keretsü said the strong turnout and high level of talent made the selection process particularly challenging for the coaching panel.
Congratulating those selected, he said their hard work, dedication and passion for basketball had earned them a place in the roster. He also encouraged those who were not selected to remain motivated and continue working on their skills, stressing that basketball is a sport of continuous growth.
Keretsü also thanked the coaches, officials, volunteers, parents and players for their support in making the selection trials successful.
The selected players will represent Kohima district in basketball at the Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2026.

The KDBA stated that the waiting list is valid for 48 hours. If no replacement are made within this period, players listed from serial numbers 1 to 12 would be confirmed as the final roster.
