Defending champions Titans beat A&K Fraternity on Monday to win the 31st edition of the Mokokchung District Inter Club T20 Cricket Tournament at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex in Mokokchung.
The cricket tournament which had commenced on 9 January was organised by the Mokokchung District Cricket Association (MDCA) and held under the theme ‘Ignite the Passion’.
ADC Mokokchung Chumlamo Humtsoe was the match patron of the final day.
In his speech, Humtsoe encouraged the players to continue to love the game and grow better and stronger. He said if it is their passion to continue in the field, they should open the way for themselves through consistency and commitment.

The ADC acknowledged all the teams who had participated in the tournament and also appreciated the MDCA for their efforts in organising the cricket tournament. He said he was hopeful that the tournament would further promote more fruitful talents.
Wishing good luck to the two finalists, Humtsoe said he hoped that the best team would win and further stated that giving the best effort is what matters matter in the end.
The final match was played between Titans and A&K Cricket Fraternity. The latter team won the toss and opted to bat, scoring 135 runs in 20 overs with five wickets down. Titans scored 136 runs in 18.5 overs with 6 wickets down, winning the match by four wickets.

Man of the Match for the finals was awarded to Basant of Titans while the award for Spirit of the Game was presented to Jovial Cricket Club.
The other individual awards were:
- Best Batsman – Nripen Rai (A&K C F), 201 runs
- Best Bowler – Moatemjen (A&K C F), 7 wickets
- Man of the Tournament – Nripen Rai (A&K C F), 201 runs with 2 wickets
- Most Promising Player – Amongti (Sovran)
