The Assemblies of God, East India churches held its 28th Triennial General Conference at Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong on January 21 and 22.
Rev Abraham Thomas, Gen. Superintendent of AG India was the speaker of the conference. The conference witnessed the presence of several reverends, pastors and leaders from all across the seven states of North East India.

The conference concluded with the election of its new leaders, wherein Rev. Thebemo Yanthan from Nagaland was elected the new General Superintendent of Assemblies of God East India.
The new executive council includes Rev. Krishna Debbarma (Tripura) as Assist. General Superintendent, Rev. Hebol Birjia (Assam) as General Secretary, Rev. Gijum Yongam (Arunachal Pradesh) as General Treasurer and the executive members are Rev. Zamsianlala (Mizoram), Rev. TH Khuala (Manipur) and Rev. David Marbaniang (Meghalaya).
