The Angami Sports Association (ASA) felicitated the 2nd North East Olympic Games medallists belonging to the Angami tribe today here at Talimeren Conference Hall, Nagaland Olympic Association Office Complex, Kohima.

Altogether, 33 athletes from different disciplines were felicitated by the ASA.

ASA President Lhoubeizo Kesiyie lauded the medallists for bringing honour and glory to the State and the community.

In his brief address, he encouraged the medallists to aim higher and make the best of their win in the recently concluded 2nd North East Olympic Games.

Kesiyie remarked not to take sports as a “time pass” activity but to be serious in the discipline they have chosen as a profession. He exuded hope that the athletes would progress from here and go on to reach higher achievement.

Earlier, Vimegokho Chüsi, pastor of Minister’s Hill Baptist Church, Kohima invoked God’s blessings.
