The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has announced that the 5th Padmashree W. Nokdenlemba Open Volleyball Tournament, to be held from October 9 to 11 at the Imkongmeren Multi Sports Complex in Mokokchung. The prestigious event is organized to commemorate the contributions of Padmashree W. Nokdenlemba, the first president of AKM from Waromung village, a significant figure in the community who has left an indelible mark on Naga society.
The AKM Informed that the tournament is open exclusively to Naga indigenous inhabitants, with participants vying for the top honors. A total prize pool of ₹2, 40,000 is up for grabs, with the winners receiving ₹1,00,000. The runners-up will take home ₹50,000, while the two semi-finalists will be awarded ₹20,000 each.
In addition to team accolades, individual awards will be presented to the Best Setter, Best Spiker, and Best Libero, each receiving ₹10,000. Special recognition will also be given to the Player of the Tournament and the Emerging Player of the Tournament, with both honorees receiving ₹10,000 each.

Registration for the tournament is priced at ₹5,000 per team. Accommodations will be provided for players coming from outside Mokokchung District.
