Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Thursday said that the civil society organisations and organisation like Red Cross Society should partner with the government and give information and take action collectively.
He also said the state government is willing sanction funds for the activities and urged the participation of organisations to take stock of the menace.

Rio said this while delivering his Vice Presidential speech at the Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland State Branch (IRCSN) 36th Annual General meeting at Dr Imkongliba Ao memorial Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima.
The CM also stated that the State government is to declare war on drugs be it in smuggling or its consumers.
Raising concerns of the drug menace in the State the Chief Minister pointed out that the Nagaland Police have also admitted of some police personnels involved in drug abuse adding that if uniform people are involved then it is a very serious case.
“A drug addict, the law enforcing agency holding arms in their hands, so they are very vulnerable, very dangerous and if the uniform people are involved it is more dangerous,” added Rio.
