A coordination meeting of all Heads of Offices was held at the DPDB Hall, Kiphire to review departmental preparedness for the upcoming official visit of the Governor of Nagaland to the Eastern Districts and Meluri District from July 5 to 10.
The meeting was convened by Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer, NCS, with attendance from Heads of various departments, in line with the DC’s directive that attendance was mandatory.
Chairing the session, the DC inquired on the latest status of departmental activities, achievements, ongoing projects, and key issues of each department. All Heads of Offices were directed for updated records, briefing notes and presentations related to their respective departments for upcoming events.
The DC also emphasized the need for seamless coordination among all stakeholders to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the Governor’s tour. He urged all departments to keep records, documents, and presentation materials updated and readily available for review during the visit.
Speaking at the meeting, the DC stressed that the Governor’s visit to the Eastern Districts is of significant importance. And he called for active participation and meticulous planning from all departments to facilitate effective arrangements and showcase developmental activities in the District.

Art & Cultural Officer was directed to arrange at least three cultural troupes for presentation of cultural shows during the event. The Superintendent of Police advised VGs to wear proper uniforms for a grand ceremonial guard of honour, stressing that turnout and dress discipline will be key for the reception.
He urged all departments to maintain priority preparedness and meticulous planning to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the Governor’s tour.
Temsuwati Longkumer further urged all Heads of Offices to remain stationed at their respective headquarters and discharge their government and public duties without interruption. The DC emphasized that no officer shall leave the station without prior permission, as uninterrupted service delivery to the public remains the top priority alongside preparations for the gubernatorial tour.
The meeting concluded with directives for all departments to remain on high alert and maintain priority preparedness until the completion of the Governor’s visit.
