BJP President and Minister Temjen Imna Along stated that the non participation of the seven Eastern tribes has had an impact at the ongoing 23rd edition of Hornbill Festival. The Eastern tribes are being missed, he said.

The state minister of higher education and tribal affairs exuded hope that the ENPO will be able to attain whatever they want to achieve however, he said that at the same time the emotional bond of all the Nagas as one people should be maintained and the inclusiveness of people of Nagaland should also be always pursued.

On query on the role of the Nagaland State BJP party on the demand of the ENPO, he said that whatever decisions the central leaders take will be accepted by the state BJP party, adding that Nagaland state BJP is just a part of the National BJP party.

He also said that whatever the central leaders do is for the good of the nation and wished the ENPO the best for today’s meeting with the Union Home Minister Amit Shah at New Delhi.

I hope they can convey to each other whatever is best for the nation, he added.
