The Jemtimenba Mollier Foundation (JMF) celebrated its 10th anniversary cum felicitation ceremony for meritorious students in Ao literature at a program held on 7 December 2024 at Ao Senden Kilem.
Dr. Tali Imsong, Chairman of JMF, delivered the welcome address and briefed the gathering on the foundation’s decade-long journey in promoting Ao literature since its inception in 2014. The foundation has undertaken various initiatives, including training sessions, seminars, essay writing and quiz competitions, spelling bees, and symposiums.
The highlight of the event was the felicitation of five meritorious students excelling in Ao literature and other streams. Each recipient was awarded ₹5000 and a certificate of merit. The awardees included:

Imtilemla, Principal of Impur Bible Seminary, praised the foundation’s efforts to encourage students to learn Ao literature, including non-Ao speaking students. She recalled the late Jemtimenba Mollier as a visionary who used his wealth for societal and cultural preservation.
Marsanen Imsong, President of Ao Senden, unveiled the JMF magazine. In his speech, Imsong highlighted the foundation’s distinct achievements and underscored the importance of preserving the Ao language, urging everyone to use their mother tongue in public gatherings.
Tongpangmayang Kichu, President of Ongpangkong Students’ Conference, expressed gratitude for JMF’s sponsorship of events promoting Ao literature. He hoped the foundation would continue its support in the years ahead.
A special song composed in honor of Late Jemtimenba Mollier was presented by Clark Theological College. The event was chaired by Aso Imsong, a JMF member.
Founded as the Jemtimenba Mollier Trust in 2014, the foundation has become a beacon for promoting Ao literature and cultural heritage.
