JNV Tuensang selected as prestigious PM Shri Schools

Jawaharlal Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Chare, Tuensang, held a press conference under the esteemed chairmanship of Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, at the DC Conference Hall.

During the conference, Parveen Kumar, Principal In-charge of JNV Tuensang, proudly shared the school’s commendable achievements in embracing the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Notably, JNV Tuensang has been selected as one of the prestigious PM Shri Schools, exemplifying a model institution following the ideas and guidelines of NEP 2020.

Kumar highlighted the school’s dedicated efforts in nurturing students’ holistic development, encompassing physical, emotional, and artistic dimensions. The presence of a dedicated Physical Education Teacher and Trained Counselor reflects the school’s commitment to students’ overall well-being. Moreover, teachers have been given the opportunity to pursue a Diploma in Career Guidance and Counseling (DCGC).

JNV Tuensang takes pride in its approach to teaching in multilingualism and regional languages, fostering cultural inclusivity and celebrating the rich diversity of the nation. The school also offers various skill development programs, including Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, and Handicrafts Training, providing valuable avenues for students to enhance their talents.

However, Kumar also acknowledged the challenges faced by JNV Tuensang, such as the lack of proper infrastructure, non-completion of staff quarters and classrooms from phases A and B, the shortage of teaching and ministry staff, and the absence of a Principal for the past seven years. Despite these obstacles, the school remains resolute in its commitment to upgrade Class XI in the upcoming academic year. Kumar proudly noted that JNV Tuensang has produced numerous officers and distinguished individuals who have significantly contributed to the fabric of Naga society.
