On the occasion of World AIDS Day, a Lecture & Awareness Rally on HIV/AIDS was organised by the Shamator Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ Inspector General Assam Rifles (North)/HQ 7 Sector Assam Rifles on 1 December in Noklak.

The motive of the rally was to familiarise students and locals regarding the life-threatening disease which affects people across the world.

Medical Officer of 14 Assam Rifles Jacob Lalmalsawm conducted a lecture on HIV/AIDS focusing specifically on prevention of HIV, mode of transmission and serious complications.

As part of the observation, Shamator Battalion in coordination with National Cadet Corps (NCC) 1st Naga Girls, Noklak and Holy Angel School, Noklak carried out a Walkathon and awareness drive in Noklak Town.
