Noklak: ‘Tsangkue’ meaning ‘Hidden Corner’ is located 44km away from Noklak District Headquarter

A new village in Noklak district – Tsangkue village – was inaugurated today L Khumo, Advisor, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Economic & Statistics and Evaluation.

‘Tsangkue’ meaning ‘Hidden Corner’ is located 44km away from Noklak District Headquarter. With a household number of 34, it is the immediate neighbour to Pathso Nokeng, the parent village.

Tsangkue village is now the eight village that falls under Pathso Block.

During the inauguration, special guest L Khumo addressed the gathering and advised them to remain humble and to continue to uphold peace with the neighbouring villages.

He further urged them to maintain oneness from the scratch and also advised the concerned leaders and administration to be wise in administering the villages.

Only if there is cooperation, there will be development, he stated.

The advisor stated that Tsangkue has become the 15th village recognised under the leadership of Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.

Earlier, Khumo unveiled the Monolith and inaugurated Tsangkue village. The Monolith dedication prayer was pronounced by pastor Thengem, Pathso Nokeng Baptist Tuathi.

Short speeches were delivered by village heads, unions, the District Administration and the Police Department sharing similar thoughts and advice to the members of the newly inaugurated village. They stressed on the importance of living in unity and peaceful co-existence for the flourishing development of the village.

Hundreds of young and old attended the inauguration.
