The National People’s Party (NPP), 17th Chizami A/C, has welcomed the approval and sanction of the road upgradation of Pfutsero to Chillo via Razeba, a vital lifeline for Zhavame, Razeba, Zelome, Tsüpfüme, and neighbouring villages in Manipur.
In a press release, the Party expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio “for prioritizing our people’s most pressing needs and understanding our sufferings” and also thanked Minister of Power and Parliamentary Affairs, KG Kenye for “personal intervention” in securing the approval. Further, it extended its appreciation to Minister PWD (R&B) Kaito Aye, the Department of PWD (R&B) Nagaland and the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.
NPP, 17th Chizami A/C President Tho-o Domeh and General Secretary Vihoto Wozah stated that upon completion, the road will significantly improve interstate connectivity, stimulate local economic growth, and enhance health, education, and tourism, ultimately elevating the wellbeing of our constituency and the state. Additionally, Razeba’s esteemed Agri and Allied sector will experience substantial growth, and prominent tourist attractions like Majestic Kapamodzü will prosper, it added.
Furthermore, the NPP, 17th Chizami A/C, appealed landowners and the public “to refrain from submitting claims and objections that could impede project progress” and instead encouraged “wholehearted support and cooperation” towards the project.
While assuring its fullest support and cooperation, the NPP urged the implementing agency to ensure timely commencement, completion, and delivery of a top-notch road. It emphasised on “unwavering commitment to quality and transparency” and also cautioned that the NPP will not tolerate any compromises that may jeopardize the project’s quality or hinder its progress.
