The District Administration Peren has launched Entrepreneur’s Club to address issues faced by entrepreneurs in the district and also to encourage youth take up entrepreneurship.
On Monday’s program at DC’s Conference Hall, Deputy Commissioner Peren, Vineet Kumar, IAS while sharing the concept note of the Entrepreneur’s Club, said that of all the challenges faced by the youth today, lack of job opportunities and unemployment topped the list. He said that jobs in Government sector are saturated while in private sector, the jobs are limited and requires specific skill sets.
Pointing out that there seems to be a low desire to take up entrepreneurship among the youth, Kumar said that this may be due to several factors such as low risk-taking appetites, lack of right mindset for running enterprise among others. This may be attributed to lack of exposure during formative years, lack of practical experience and absence of culture of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneur’s Club is therefore envisaged to overcome some of the challenges being faced by the entrepreneurs in the district, the DC state.
He also added that the vision of the club is to create a culture of entrepreneurship in the district and the idea of launching the club is to strengthen and nurture the existing entrepreneurs so that others can also get inspiration from them.
Speaking on the role of the club, he said, it will work as a platform to exchange ideas, share experiences and learnings, promote new entrepreneurs, and provide support. Further, he hoped that Entrepreneur’s Club Peren will traverse the path, creating roadmap for hundreds of youths.
